Our blue berries are hand-picked and refrigerated immediately after being picked to extend shelf life and retain the taste and firmness of the berries. It is sorted on a Kato optical sorter to ensure that the client gets even sized, blemish free and firm berries in their punnit.

In order to supply to customers around the world, BMB has to adhere to the highest standards. We are measured against several ethical, quality and environmental standards and our systems, documentation and controls allow us the best ratings in these audits. Our product range includes Final Pack berries to the East; bulk packed berries to Europe and the UK for various retailers; and fresh and frozen berries to the South African retail market.

Nutritional Value

Production & Method

Blueberries are harvested from July to January. Nutrients are applied through drip irrigation and supplemented with various foliar feeds. Pest and disease management are based on IPM principles and several biological products and methods are used to suppress diseases and pests. Irrigation scheduling, pest and disease scout information collection and soil moisture readings are recorded electronically and used to ensure the minimum chemical interventions are made.
